Hmm...I would've gone Mo/R and used Serpent's Quickness, Spellbreaker, and maybe Storm Chaser...something like this:
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Blessed Signet
Serpent's Quickness
Spellbreaker
Storm Chaser/Blessed Aura
Mending
Balthazar's Spirit
Basically use Serpent's Quickness to make it so that you can stack/almost stack 2 spellbreakers (they overlap for ~36 seconds of hex block).
If it's just the running that you're having trouble with, try Balanced Stance or a defensive stance instead of sprint.
The current Mo/R running build though is usually something like this:
Prot Spirit
Healing Breeze
Blessed Signet
Serpent's Quickness
Spellbreaker {e}
Mending
Balthazar's Spirit
Blessed Aura
You use a +5 energy katana or the FFS with a +18-20% enchantment duration mod. Serpent's Quickness + Spellbreaker should once again allow SB cycles to overlap so that you have enough time to break aggro and find a safezone to rest in until SB + Serpent's is recharged. If you need a running skill I would likely substitute Blessed Signet for Storm Chaser (If you're running through places with a lot of elemental damage, you'll be gaining ~4-5 energy when you're hit, *and* you get a nice speed boost to break aggro).
EDIT: Have you checked to see if things in Dragon's Gullet use Rend Enchantments or Shatter Enchantment?
